Over all our cruise with The Regent , SS Splendor, has meet our expectations. My cabin attendant, Rivvy was so awesome and his helper( I forgot her name.) The staff was all very nice and helpful . Leaving the cruise was a little unplanned but know it is your first journey there and understandable. Willie, the excursion ticket person was very patience and nice. Enjoyed his attitude. We did miss an excursion but did get refunded which I felt that it was very nice of The Regent, good customer service.

Seven Seas Splendor Excels

June

Pros: Large suites, world-class restaurants with lunch as well as dinner service, excellent entertainment.

Cons: Category H cabin is small without walk-in closet. Sliding closet doors do not stay closed in even moderate sea conditions.

Recommended: No

This ship is beautifully appointed with spacious cabins, outstanding dining venues and multiple comfortable bars and lounges. The entertainment program was excellent, and the spa offered an extensive set of services. Staff at all levels were pleasant and professional.

April

Pros: Loved our room. Convenience of everything on the ship.

Cons: Really the only the thing is the seating in the Theatre. Really hard to maneuver around the chairs.

Recommended: Yes

We loved the Splendor. Everything was beautiful! Sometimes we thought the service at dinner was a little long, but was still very good. And coffee was always served after we got our dessert. (Not a biggie….but you asked..haha).

Feb 26 sailing of the RSSCSplendor

February

Pros: Great organization, few or no hitches to be seen. Great dining options. The laundry and pressing feature is a huge plus, everto.ne loves it

Cons: I did see a couple of cut backs on the more expensive menu items and guests also noticeded.

Recommended: No

The ships are always in top shape and the shore excursion format works so smoothly. What a pleasure to see no long lines at the destinations desk with unhappy travelers. Also keeping in mind that this itinerary has a new port each day and are in port usually from 8 am to 6pm.

Sailing in Elegance: A Review of Regent Splendor

January

Pros: Elegant ship and attractive suites, Variety of dining options, Entertainment exceeding expectations

Cons: Configuration issues in Category H, Veranda suites, Disappointing itinerary stops and excursions

Recommended: No

My husband and I embarked on a memorable 12-night segment of a 67-night Grand Voyage, Circle South America, on Regent Seven Seas Splendor. The ship sailed from Buenos Aires, Argentina and our journey concluded in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. With a capacity for 750 guests, this ship is truly elegant and stunning, featuring all-suite accommodations with balconies. Our stay in the Category H Veranda Suite on deck 6 was cozy, featuring a balcony with two deck chairs and a table. While we enjoyed our experience, we did notice some configuration aspects, such as the bed’s proximity to the sliding closet and the compact bathroom with a single sink and shower. It might be worth considering an upgrade to a more spacious Category F, Superior Veranda, or higher for those seeking additional space. The ship’s staff provided generally friendly and professional service, although we did observe some inconsistencies. Dining experiences were mostly positive, with standout moments at Compass Rose (the main dining room), Pacific Rim (a Pan-Asian specialty restaurant), and La Veranda (evening transformed into Sette Mari, an Italian restaurant). Prime 7’s lobster fell short of expectations, and Chartreuse, the French restaurant was enjoyable but occasionally too elaborate. La Veranda’s breakfast/lunch buffet felt somewhat limited compared to offerings on other luxury cruise lines. The standout dining experience was the Gala Sunday Brunch in Compass Rose. Regent Splendor offers a range of amenities, including Coffee Connection, a Pool Grill (open 11 am to 4 pm), Afternoon Tea, and 24-hour room service. The ship adheres to a dress code-Resort Casual during the day and Resort Elegant at night. The onboard Spa and fitness center aligns with luxury cruise ship standards, allowing guests to use the steam room, sauna, and Spa pool based on capacity controls. While Regent Splendor offers culinary cooking classes onboard, they appeared to be presold, limiting availability. Nonetheless, positive feedback was received from a couple attending multiple classes during the sailing. The entertainment on board exceeded expectations, featuring various performances, including an illusionist, local acts in Uruguay, a classical guitarist, and the traditional production company singers and dancers. Overall, our experience on Regent Splendor was positive, despite some disappointing itinerary stops that did not meet expectations, and most excursions exceeding their advertised durations. Included excursions showed inconsistencies, with some guides who were difficult to understand and poorly trained. Issues such as not providing complimentary water or adequate restroom facilities or breaks were noted. Addressing these concerns would undoubtedly enhance the seamless luxury travel experience that Regent Seven Seas Cruises aspires to deliver.
